In general whenever an employer registers a new member in employee provident fund organization then they will give complete details of the employee to generate new PF account number. But in some cases, the data base of EPFO portal will not save some details like doj, dob and gender details of some employees.
And recently EPFO has introduced new unified portal websites, during this transformation, there is a lot of data of EPF subscribers have missed in EPF portals. So this is another reason behind UAN gender not available for some employees.
How To Update Gender In EPF Account | How To Resolve UAN Gender Not Available
Before knowing about how to update gender in EPF account you have to know that employee him self or her self can’t able to update their gender details, this has to be done through the only employer i.e only your employer can able to update your gender details in their employer PF portal.
Process To Update Gender Details In UAN Or EPF Account
In order to update gender details of a member, the employer needs to login to their employer PF portal with their user id and password.
After login, click on the member profile which will appear in member option in the primary menu bar. Here your employer needs to enter your PF account number or UAN number.
After entering PF number or UAN number employee profile will appear, in that there is a section called missing details. Now select missing details and update Gender details of the member and click on update missing details.
Now a PDF file will be generated and it needs employer approval. (There is no need of digital signature to approve employee gender details). Employer can find PDF file under APPROVE MISSING DETAILS which will appear under MEMBER option in the primary menu bar.
